Health
We respect your home as much as we respect Mother earth.
That is why, like our ancestors did, we use pure natural substances to create living environments that are healthy, beautiful and inspiring. All the products we work with are non toxic and safe for your children.
Clay is not only non toxic, moreover beyond its building use, it is a healing substance that has been used all over the world to this day, used directly on skin or ingested.
Sustainability
Clay is considered one of the most sustainable building materials. Unlike most conventional building materials, clay does not go through a fossil fuel consuming and polluting industrial manufacturing process. The energy needed to produce clay is only 1% of what is needed to produce bricks or steel concrete.
When found locally, clay needs little or no transportation. We will use local materials in every possible case.
Clay is completely recyclable and reusable, which means even if you have a clay wall standing for many years and you tear it down you can build a completely new one using the same material.
History
Humans have been developing building techniques using clay for more than 9 thousand years. Clay has proven to be a versatile and long lasting material. The core of the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan and the Great Wall of China were both built from rammed earth and then covered with stone.
